NBA: Charlotte 99, Orlando 93

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace brought Charlotte back from a huge deficit Wednesday and the Bobcats held on down the stretch to defeat Orlando 99-93.

Wallace scored 36 points and claimed 14 rebounds, rallying Charlotte from 19 points down early in the third quarter. Jason Richardson chipped in 26 points in what was the Bobcats' fourth win in six games.

Orlando, losers of three straight on the road, was led by Dwight Howard with 24 and Carlos Arroyo with 17.

The Magic built a 60-41 lead shortly after halftime, but for the remainder of the third quarter the Bobcats outscored Orlando 34-15 to tie the game.

Charlotte edged in front by five midway through the final period and kept the led the rest of the game, putting things away when Richardson made four free throws over the final 20 seconds.
