NHL: Columbus 3, Vancouver 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Nikolai Zherdev had a goal and an assist Tuesday when Columbus beat Vancouver 3-2 for a record sixth consecutive home victory.

Ron Hainsey and Jason Chimera also scored.

Pascal Leclaire made 25 saves for Columbus, which has not lost at home since Dec. 23. The Blue Jackets have won three straight games overall.

Kris Beech and Daniel Sedin scored for Vancouver, which has lost three of its last four games. Roberto Luongo blocked 18 shots while taking the loss.
