NBA: LA Lakers 100, Memphis 99

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 37 points and Kwame Brown hit a key free throw in the closing seconds Sunday to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past Memphis 100-99.

Lamar Odom had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles, which won six in a row.

Bryant was just 3-of-10 from three-point range, but hit 14 of 15 foul shots.

Andrew Bynum had 10 points and nine boards before leaving the game with a sprained left knee in the third quarter.

Mike Miller had 27 points and Pau Gasol had 21 points, 18 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks for the Grizzlies, who suffered their fourth straight loss.
