VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Peter Mueller, Ed Jovanovski and Keith Yandle scored second-period goals Friday and the Phoenix Coyotes held on to defeat Vancouver 4-3.

The Canucks suffered their first home loss in regulation time since Nov. 1. Following that setback against Nashville, Vancouver had won 12 games and suffered two overtime losses on home ice.

Phoenix has won seven out of eight on the road.

Vancouver's Taylor Pyatt scored one of his two goals midway through the opening period, but Mueller delivered on a slap shot with 4:27 to play in the second to tie the game.

The Coyotes then took control by producing two power-play goals 10 seconds apart from Jovanovski and Yandle.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 17 saves to get the victory.
