COL BKB: UCLA 81, Washington State 74

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Kevin Love scored 27 points and collected 14 rebounds Saturday, boosting the No. 5 UCLA Bruins to an 81-74 victory over No. 4 Washington State.

UCLA (16-1, 4-0 Pac-10) won its ninth straight game. Washington State is 14-1, 2-1 after its first loss of the season.

Darren Collison scored 18 points for the Bruins, who ran up an 18-point lead and held on for the win.

Derrick Low led Washington State with 24 points. Low hit six of nine three-point shots.
