IRVING, Texas, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens has apparently recovered sufficiently from an ankle injury to play against the New York Giants in Sunday's playoff game.
"Terrell Owens said he is going to play and I believe him," Coach Wade Philips said Friday. "To what degree and what level remains to be seen. Unless something unforeseen happens, I think he will attempt to play, and I think we'll let him play."

The Cowboys and Giants meet in an NFC divisional playoff.
Owens missed his team's final regular season game because of the injury. He returned to practice Thursday.
