Gibbs, Shanahan get Texans' coaching jobs

HOUSTON, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- The Houston Texans announced Friday that Alex Gibbs was named assistant head coach and Kyle Shanahan became offensive coordinator.

Gibbs previously was an assistant for the Atlanta Falcons. Shanahan will also coach the quarterbacks, which he had done this season for the Texans.

At 28, Shanahan, son of Denver Coach Mike Shanaham, is the youngest coordinator in the NFL.
