HOBART, Australia, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Vera Zvonareva cruised through a straight-set victory Thursday and into the finals of the Moorilla International tennis tournament in Australia.

Zvonareva, seeded second at Hobart, swept past qualifier Ashley Harkleroad 6-2, 6-1 and earned a shot at her sixth WTA championship. It is her first finals appearance since an Australian Open tuneup tournament a year ago.

She will meet Eleni Daniilidou, who dispatched Flavia Pennetta 6-4, 6-3 in her semifinal match Thursday. Daniilidou is seeking her fifth WTA title.

Neither Zvonareva nor Daniilidou have won tournaments since 2006. Daniilidou owns a 2-1 edge in head-to-head meetings with Zvonareva.

The winner of Friday's finals will collect $25,650.
