Terrell Owens returns to practice

IRVING, Texas, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens, recovering from a sprained ankle, returned to practice Thursday for the first time in nearly three weeks.

Owens, who has caught 81 passes for 1,355 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, had not practiced since he was injured in a game against the Carolina Panthers Dec. 22.

Team officials did not say if Owens will be ready for the Cowboys' playoff game Sunday against the New York Giants.
