CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 30 shots Tuesday, backstopping the Phoenix Coyotes' 3-1 road win over the Calgary Flames.

After Bryzgalov and Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff dueled to a scoreless tie in the first period, Daniel Winnik, Joel Perrault and Keith Yandle scored for Phoenix in a seven-minute span in the second that put the game out of reach.

Alex Tanguay got the only goal for the Flames, who had won their five previous games. Kiprusoff finished with 28 saves.

Phoenix won its fifth in a row and improved to 9-2-1 in its last 12.
