COL BKB: Michigan St. 78, Purdue 75

EAST LANSING, Mich., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Travis Walton scored his four points in the closing moments Tuesday, giving sixth-ranked Michigan State a 78-75 victory over Purdue.

Kalin Lucas had 16 points and Durrell Summers 15 for the Spartans (14-1, 2-0 Big Ten), who have won 10 straight. Goran Suton added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Chris Kramer had 19 points and Nemanja Calasan 18 for Purdue (10-5, 1-1), which had a three-game win streak halted.
