DALLAS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Antti Miettinen scored two goals Monday, lifting the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
Newly signed Mike Ribeiro had two assists and goalie Marty Turco stopped 18 shots for the Stars, who ended a four-game losing streak.

Mark Parrish had the lone goal for Minnesota, which has lost three of its last four games. Niklas Backstrom made 27 saves in a losing effort.
The Stars announced Monday they signed Ribeiro to a five-year contract extension worth $25 million. The center's current contract was set to expire at the conclusion of this season.
