GLENDALE, Ariz., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Peter Mueller scored in the first round of the shootout Saturday night and the Phoenix Coyotes beat Anaheim 3-2.
Mueller beat Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere for the deciding score, while Ilya Bryzgalov kept the Ducks off the board and helped the Coyotes win their fourth straight game.
Shane Doan and Steven Reinprecht scored and Mueller had an assist in regulation, and Bryzgalov posted 29 saves for Phoenix.
Ryan Getzlaf and Doug Weight scored and Giguere had 32 saves for Anaheim, which lost for the first time in three games.
