NFL: N.Y. Giants 24, Tampa Bay 14

TAMPA, Tenn., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Eli Manning tossed two touchdown passes Sunday, leading the New York Giants to a 24-14 wild-card playoff victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The win was the Giants' first in a playoff game since 2001.

Manning completed 20 of 27 passes for 185 yards. Amani Toomer caught seven for 74 yards and a score. Brandon Jacobs also caught a touchdown pass.

The Giants (11-6) have won four of their last six games.

Tampa Bay's Jeff Garcia threw for 207 yards and a touchdown and was intercepted twice.

The Buccaneers finished the season at 9-8, losing four of their last five games.
