DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- DeMarcus Nelson led No. 8 Duke with 23 points Sunday in an 81-67 victory over the Cornell Big Red.

The Blue Devils (11-1) trailed at one point in the first half but surged ahead to stay with a 14-2 run before halftime.

The top scorer for Cornell (6-5) was Ryan Wittman with 13 points.

Duke out-rebounded the Big Red 39-25.
