NHL: Florida 4, N.Y. Islanders 3 (OT)

NEW YORK, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Jassen Cullimore fired in an overtime goal Thursday to give the Florida Panthers a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders.

The goal, 1:33 into the extra session, was Cullimore's first since he joined the Panthers in late October.

Nathan Horton had two goals and an assist and David Booth a goal and an assist for Florida, which ended a three-game losing streak.

Mike Sillinger, Mike Comrie and Bill Guerin scored for the Islanders.
