AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Lindsay Davenport raised her comeback record to 16-1 with a straight-set victory Thursday in the quarterfinals of the ASB Classic tournament in New Zealand.

Davenport took time off last year and gave birth to her first child in June. She's played in four tournaments since then, winning all but one match and is starting 2008 with the same success. She qualified for the ASB semifinals with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Sara Errani in just 57 minutes.

That was the only non-upset Thursday as the tournament's top three seeds were all beaten. Top-seeded Vera Zvonareva was defeated by Auckland native Marina Erakovic, a tournament wild-card entry, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5). No. 2-seeded Maria Kirilenko was ousted by sixth-seeded Tamira Paszek, 6-1, 6-3. And third-seeded Katarina Srebotnik dropped a match with Aravane Rezai by the same 6-1, 6-3 score.

Davenport is to meet Paszek and Erakovic goes against Rezai in Friday's semifinals.
