NASHVILLE, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Shan Foster led the way with 24 points Thursday in sparking No. 15 and unbeaten Vanderbilt to a 76-58 decision over Rice.
The Commodores won their 14th game to start the season, with A.J. Ogilvy adding 14 points.

Vanderbilt began the game with a 13-2 run, capped by Alex Gordon's three-pointer. Rice cut its deficit to five at the half only to have the Commodores score the first 11 points of the second period.
The Owls (3-9) were paced by 17 points from Paulius Packevicius and 15 from Lawrence Ghoram.
