HOUSTON, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Andre Davis returned two kickoffs for touchdowns 28 seconds apart Sunday, catapulting Houston to a 42-28 victory over Jacksonville.
Ron Dayne ran for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Texans (8-8), who finished the regular season with the best record in club history.
Sage Rosenfels made his fourth straight start in place of Matt Schaub, completing 11 of 18 passes for 128 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Darius Walker added another 86 yards on and a score on just 10 carries.
Starting in place of David Garrard, Quinn Gray was 25-of-39 passing for 302 yards and four touchdowns for the Jaguars (11-5), who had won six of seven before the match.
Matt Jones had eight receptions for 138 yards and a score, and Ernest Wilford had six catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
