NFL: Carolina 31, Tampa Bay 23

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Matt Moore threw for two touchdowns and DeAngelo Williams rushed for two more Sunday, delivering the Carolina Panthers a 31-23 win over Tampa Bay.

Moore connected on 15 of 24 passes for 174 yards. He also was intercepted once as the Panthers (7-9) won for the third time in their last five games. Williams finished with 121 yards.

After the Panthers ended Tampa Bay's last drive, Vinny Testaverde, 44, took the final snap of the contest and of his NFL career. He threw for 46,233 career yards, 275 touchdowns with and 267 interceptions since being drafted by the Buccaneers in 1987.

Luke McCown completed 21 of 28 passes for 236 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Tampa Bay (9-7), which lost its last two games after winning the NFC South crown.

McCown also led the Buccaneers in rushing, gaining 47 yards on five carries.
