SEATTLE, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Jeff Green and Wally Szczerbiak scored 18 points each Saturday to lead the Seattle SuperSonics past Minnesota 109-90.

The Sonics, who had six players in double figures, out-scored the Timberwolves 36-16 in the second period and 27-13 in the third. However, Seattle lost two key players -- first-round draft pick Kevin Durant and starting forward Chris Wilcox -- to injuries.

The game was 11 minutes old when Durant went out with a sprained left index finger. Wilcox had 14 points and 11 rebounds when he came out in the third quarter with a sprained left knee.

Delonte West had 10 points and seven assists, Damien Wilkins scored 12 and Earl Watson had 10 points and six assists for Seattle.

Al Jefferson had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have lost four straight and 10 out of their last 11.
