EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- New England quarterback Tom Brady and receiver Randy Moss broke two NFL records Saturday when the Patriots went 16-0 with a 38-35 win over the New York Giants.

Brady and Moss connected on two touchdown passes to move ahead of Peyton Manning and Jerry Rice in the NFL in record book.

Brady wound up the regular season with 50 touchdown passes and Moss with 23 touchdown receptions.

New England surpassed the 1998 Minnesota Vikings record of 556 points in a season by totaling 589. The Patriots also became the first team in NFL history to finish a regular season 16-0.
