NBA: Portland 89, Seattle 79

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 25 (UPI) -- Brandon Roy and Jarrett Jack each scored 17 points Tuesday, helping Portland widen its winning streak to 11 with an 89-79 victory over Seattle.

Steve Blake and James Jones each added 12 points, and Joel Przybilla had 16 rebounds for the Portland Trail Blazers, who moved just a half game behind Denver for the lead in the NBA Northwest Division.

With an average age of 24 years and 26 days on opening night, Portland's roster is the youngest team in the NBA.

Kevin Durant had 23 points for Seattle, which has lost three of its last four games. Wally Szczerbiak added 19 points..
