NEW YORK, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- With one week left in the NFL season, 10 playoffs spots, led by New England and Dallas, are decided with five teams hoping to grab one of two remaining slots.

New England, one win away from a perfect regular season, and Dallas, at 13-2, have wrapped up the best records in their respective NFL conferences and will have home field advantage through the playoffs. That is considered a big edge for teams seeking to get to Super Bowl XLII Feb. 3 in Glendale, Ariz.

Also in are AFC members Indianapolis, San Diego, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. Joining Dallas in the NFC playoffs are Green Bay, Seattle, Tampa Bay and the New York Giants.

Tennessee and Cleveland are vying for the final AFC spot. A Tennessee win at Indianapolis puts the Titans in the playoffs. But if the Titans lose, Cleveland is in no matter what the Browns do Sunday against San Francisco.

In the NFC, Washington makes the playoffs if the Redskins beat Dallas Sunday at home. But if the Redskins lose, Minnesota can get in with a win at Denver. If both Washington and Minnesota lose, New Orleans can advance with a win at Chicago.
