NHL: Chicago 3, Edmonton 2

CHICAGO, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Brent Seabrook's second goal of the game Sunday gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

His fifth goal this season broke a 2-2 tie at 1:20 of the third period put Chicago ahead to stay. His fourth came on the power play at 6:53 in the first for a 1-0 Chicago lead.

Patrick Sharp's 18th goal created the 2-2 tie at 17:44 of the second. Sharp extended his goal streak to three consecutive games.

Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 25 of 27 Edmonton shots for the Blackhawks, who have won three in a row.

Edmonton scored twice in the first with Tom Gilbert scoring on the power play at 8:05 and Dustin Penner's unassisted tally at 11:08 giving Edmonton a 2-1 advantage.

Mathieu Garon yielded three goals on 34 Chicago shots for the Oilers, who have dropped three straight after a three-game winning streak.

Both clubs went 1 for 6 on the power play.
