NHL: Anaheim 5, San Jose 2

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Todd Bertuzzi's pivotal third-period goal Saturday helped the Anaheim Ducks top the San Jose Sharks 5-2.

His fifth goal this season gave Anaheim an insurmountable 4-2 advantage at 4:01 of the third on a penalty shot.

Anaheim's Chris Pronger had a goal and an assist.

Three others scored once, while Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 27 of 29 shots for the Ducks, who rose to 4


1 in five games against the Sharks this season.

The Ducks have won six in a row at San Jose's Shark Tank.

San Jose got one goal each from Marcel Goc and Patrick Marleau.

Evgeni Nabokov was beaten four times on 23 shots for the Sharks, who have dropped a season-high three games in a row and have their last four home games.

On the power play, Anaheim was 1 for 4, and San Jose went 1 for 5.
