
SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan's double-double -- 34 points and 18 rebounds -- Saturday helped the San Antonio Spurs beat the Los Angeles Clippers 99-90.
With the Spurs up by six after a 20-point lead earlier, Duncan took over.
He converted a three-point play with 1:17 left to put San Antonio up 95-86, made two free throws with 43 seconds to play, and a layup with three seconds remaining for a 99-88 Spurs advantage.
Tony Parker had 18 points and six assists.
Ime Udoka had 17 points and eight rebounds, and Michael Finley added 10 points and six assists for the Spurs, who ended a two-game skid.
They lost Manu Ginobili to a left forefinger injury.
Al Thornton led Los Angeles with a career-high 25 points and six rebounds.
Chris Kaman had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Cuttino Mobley added 16 points and five assists for the Clippers, who have lost four in a row.
