PITTSBURGH, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Blake Comeau and Trent Hunter scored 37 seconds apart in the third period Friday, rallying the New York Islanders to a 4-2 win over Pittsburgh.

The Islanders halted a two-game losing streak thanks in part to Comeau's first goal of the season.

In a 2-2 game, Comeau fired a blast from the left circle that beat a screened Dany Sabourin with 9:32 left to play. Hunter then scored on a wrister and Rick DiPietro preserved the win by making 24 saves.

Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead on Jordan Staal's power-play goal 4:20 into the second period, but Andy Hilbert tied it four minutes later. The Penguins lost their second game in three outings.
