NHL: Anaheim 2, Colorado 1 (OT)

ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Mathieu Schneider scored 3:31 into overtime Wednesday, giving Anaheim a 2-1 win over Colorado.

Anaheim outshot Colorado 38-12, but neither side could score until Colorado took the lead at 8:33 of the second on a wrister by Cody McCormick. Chris Pronger tied it at 3:45 of the second.

Colorado had a three-game winning streak snapped despite a 36-save effort from Peter Budaj.

Backup goaltender Jonas Hiller got the win, needing to make only 11 saves. Jean-Sebastien Giguere was rested after he recorded his first shutout of the season Tuesday against San Jose.
