CLEVELAND, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Two foul shots with three seconds left by Daniel Gibson and a big game from LeBron James Thursday brought Cleveland a 94-90 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
James scored 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in helping the Cavaliers bounce back from a loss to New York 24 hours earlier.
The Cavaliers enjoyed a 16-0 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters, but the Lakers came back to briefly lead the game inside the two-minute mark.
James put the Cavaliers ahead by two with 1:44 to play and neither side could score until Gibson was fouled with three seconds left following a series of Los Angeles misses.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 21 points and Lamar Odom had 19. Bryant is 39 points away from reaching 20,000 for his career.
The 90 points for the Lakers were their fewest of the season.
