COL BKB: Michigan St. 85, San Jose St. 45

EAST LANSING, Mich., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Durrell Summers and Raymar Morgan touched off a big start for Michigan State Wednesday and the Spartans went on to crush San Jose State 85-45.

No. 10 Michigan State scored the game's first 12 points, keeping San Jose State off the scoreboard for more than four minutes.

Summers and Morgan both had 16 points, while Drew Neitzel added 14 in helping the Spartans climb to 10-1.

San Jose State (3-5) was led by DaShawn Wright with 17.

Michigan State had a 36-21 lead at halftime and produced a 21-2 run in the second period.
