COL BKB: Memphis 79, Cincinnati 69

CINCINNATI, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A career-best 26 points from Derrick Rose Wednesday helped keep No. 2 Memphis unbeaten with a 79-69 victory over Cincinnati.

The Tigers played their first true road game of the season and pulled away late in the contest for their ninth win in as many starts. Antonio Anderson added 12 points and Memphis poured in 12 three-point shots.

Cincinnati (4-6) was led by Deonta Vaughn with 20 points. It was the Bearcats' fourth straight loss.

Memphis had only a four-point lead midway through the second half when it went on a 10-2 run to take control. Cincinnati came no closer than six the rest of the way.

The Tigers have won their first nine games in a season for the first time in 22 years.
