NHL: Phoenix 3, Philadelphia 2

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Peter Mueller's third-period goal was the winner Tuesday when the Phoenix Coyotes posted a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Keith Yandle and Fredrik Sjostrom also scored for Phoenix, which has won three straight and four of its last five games.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 26 saves to earn the victory.

Scott Hartnell and Mike Richards scored for the Flyers, who have lost four games in a row. Martin Biron allowed three goals on 42 shots.
