OMAHA, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Aleks Maric scored 23 points Saturday to lead the Nebraska Cornhuskers to an 88-79 overtime victory over 16th-ranked Oregon.
The Cornhuskers (8-2) led for most of the afternoon, but Tajuan Porter made a three-pointer with nine seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 74-74. Porter had a chance to put Oregon (8-2) in front after being fouled on the shot, but rimmed his free throw attempt to send the game into overtime.
Nebraska took over in the overtime period. Ryan Anderson made a three-pointer to put the Cornhuskers ahead for keeps.
Anderson had 21 points and nine rebounds and Ade Dagunduro added 15 points and seven rebounds for Nebraska, which is 8-0 on its home court this season.
Porter scored 29 points and Malik Hairston added 25 for the Ducks, who got just 25 points from their rest of their players.
