DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- England's Lisa Hall Friday shot 3-under-par to grab the lead halfway through the Dubai Ladies Masters at Dubai.
Her 36-hole total is 8-under 136, one-stroke better than second-place compatriot Laura Davies (70), who finished her second round with three consecutive birdies.
"The best part was that I hit a lot of shots close," Hall said. "It has been a great year and just to be playing and competing is great. I've won twice and I've played a lot of good golf."
Sweden's Louise Stahle (74), the overnight leader, joined Veronica Zorzi (68) of France in third place at 6-under 138.
Defending champion Annika Sorenstam (70) of Sweden is tied for sixth place with Solheim Cup teammate Iben Tinning at 4-under 140.
America's Natalie Gulbis (75) missed the cut after a total of 8-over 152.
