NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Pitcher Andy Pettitte has agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Yankees for the 2008 season, the team announced Wednesday.
While financial terms weren't released, Pettitte previously turned down a one-year $16 million option.

Pettitte, a 35-year-old left-hander, was 15-9 with a 4.05 earned run average last season. He owns a career record of 201-113 and a 3.83 ERA during 13 years in the major leagues.
He has played on four World Series winners and has been selected to the American League All-Star team twice.
