NHL: San Jose 4, Minnesota 1

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Steve Bernier's two second-period goals put San Jose up 4-0 and Evgeni Nabokov missed just one of the 36 shots he faced as the Sharks ripped Minnesota 4-1.

The Sharks, winners of five of their last six, also got goals from Joe Pavelski and Mike Grier.

Branko Radivojevic got the Wild's only goal on the power play when he redirected a Pavol Demitra pass past Nabokov with 9:02 left.

Niklas Backstrom allowed four goals on 30 shots in the losing effort as Minnesota lost for the third time in four games.
