EUGENE, Ore., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- No. 3 Oregon, led by Maarty Leunen's 23 points and 11 rebounds, overcame a slow start Tuesday before ultimately dispatching Sacramento State 93-66.

The 8-1 Ducks also got 20 points and eight rebounds from Joevan Catron, 17 points from Tajuan Porter and 15 from Bryce Taylor. Oregon has won four straight.

Loren Leath led Sacramento State with 21 points, connecting on five of nine three-pointers, and Donald Thomas added 11 points for the Hornets (2-7) who have lost six straight.

Sacramento led 21-16 with about 12 minutes left in the first half on a Leath three-pointer. But by halftime the Ducks led 46-36 and although the Hornets pulled to within seven early in the second half, the Ducks outscored them 37-14 over the next 10-plus minutes to pull away to an 87-57 margin.
