The next Breeders Cup races are scheduled for Oct. 24-25, 2008, at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. The races have a total purse of $25.5 million. Organizers said six races, including the three new events, were set for Oct. 24 with eight other races to be run Oct. 25.

"The establishment of the three new races continues our aggressive expansion of the Breeders' Cup World Championships," said Greg Avioli, Breeders' Cup president and chief executive officer. "These new races also continue our mission in providing more opportunities for horsemen to compete at the highest levels over the two days of the championships."
