ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 21 points and eight rebounds Saturday to pace 8th-ranked UCLA to a 75-63 win over Davidson at the John Wooden Classic.
Davidson, which led by as many as 18 points in the first half, had close losses to No. 1 North Carolina (72-68 Nov. 14) and No. 6 Duke (79-73 Dec. 1) this season.
Josh Shipp scored 15 points and Russell Westbrook 14 for UCLA (8-1) which lost for the first time this season last Sunday, falling 63-61 to 5th-ranked Texas.
Stephen Curry, the son of former NBA player Dell Curry, scored 15 points for the Wildcats (3-5), who suffered their third straight loss.
