SEATTLE, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Levance Fields scored 20 points Saturday to lead the 9th-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers to a 75-74 victory over the Washington Huskies.
DeJuan Blair added 16 points and 14 rebounds for the unbeaten Panthers (9-0).
Justin Dentmon went the length of the court and appeared to hit the winning shot for the Huskies in the closing second. But after a review the shot was nullified, as Dentmon didn't get the shot off in time.
Ryan Appleby had 18 points, hitting six of 12 three-pointers, for Washington (4-4), which had a 31-game non-conference home winning streak come to a halt. Jon Brockman added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Huskies.
Fields was fouled but missed the front end of a 1-and-1. The rebound resulted in a jump ball and the Huskies held possession with four seconds remaining.
