NHL: Detroit 5, Minnesota 0

DETROIT, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Dominik Hasek recorded his first shutout this season Friday and the Detroit Red Wings ripped the Minnesota Wild 5-0.

The shutout was the 77th of Hasek's career. The only goal he needed was Henrik Zetterberg's 19th of the season at 17:43 of the first period. Zetterberg went on to get the hat trick with his 20th in the second and his 21st in the third.

Detroit's other goals came from Jiri Hudler and Johan Franzen (power play) in the second.

Pavel Datsyuk had three assists while Hasek stopped the 19 shots he faced to give the Red Wings their season-high fifth win in a row.

Goaltender Josh Harding was beaten five times on 34 shots for the Wild, who have lost two straight following a four-game winning streak.
