NEW YORK, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- The NFL Friday fined four Baltimore Ravens for their actions in Monday's 27-24 loss to unbeaten New England.

The players -- linebacker Bart Scott, wide receiver Derrick Mason and defensive backs Samari Rolle and Chris McAlister -- were fined for violating league rules prohibiting the abuse of game officials.

Scott was fined $25,000 for verbally abusing game officials and throwing an official's flag into the stands while Rolle, McAlister and Mason were fined $15,000 for publicly questioning the integrity of the officiating.

"This is about the importance of sportsmanship and respecting the integrity of our game," NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Ray Anderson said. "We do not tolerate inappropriate conduct between teams and game officials. This includes reminding game officials that they are to conduct themselves at all times as professionals in their dealings with players, coaches and other club personnel."

Rolle claimed he was called "boy" after he disputed one official's pass interference call against him.
