MIAMI, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- One of the young men charged with killing Sean Taylor reportedly had been in the Washington Redskins star's Florida home as a guest.

The Miami Herald, citing police sources, said that investigators believe that Jason Mitchell was involved in an earlier burglary of the house in Palmetto Bay.

Investigators told the newspaper that Mitchell was at a birthday party in October for Taylor's sister, Sasha Johnson. The house was ransacked on Nov. 18, although the family did not report that anything was taken.

Taylor was mortally wounded when he got up to investigate a noise in the house on Nov. 26.

Mitchell and three other young men face charges that include murder. All are being held without bail.
