ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Antero Niittymake turned aside 28 shots Wednesday, backstopping Philadelphia's 3-1 win over Minnesota.
It was Philadelphia's first trip to St. Paul in five seasons.

Scottie Upshall and Jeff Carter gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead in the first period with Carter's goal coming just 32 seconds from the end of the stanza.
Pavol Demitra made it 2-1 in the second before Braydon Coburn gave Philadelphia insurance in the third.
Coburn's goal was his first of the season and came on a shot from just outside the blueline that sailed past the glove of Niklas Backstrom.
Philadelphia has defeated Minnesota in their last three meetings.
