SUNRISE, Fla., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Randy Robitaille's second score gave Ottawa a two-goal lead in the third period Wednesday and the Senators held on to defeat Florida 5-4.
Ottawa ended a seven-game losing streak thanks, in part, to a goal and an assist from Jason Spezza, Mike Fisher and Nick Foligno.
Olli Jokinen brought the Panthers within a goal with 15 seconds left in the game, but they could not get off another shot. Florida has lost three in a row after winning four straight.
Ottawa's Ray Emery made 21 saves to get the win and also stopped a penalty shot.
The penalty shot was taken by Kamil Kreps after he was hooked by Andrej Meszaros early in the third period. Emery made the save with his left pad.
Robitaille's game-winning goal came when a shot by Spezza bounced off him and past Craig Anderson.
Anderson replaced Tomas Vokum in net after Vokum surrendered two goals on five shots.
