
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Dan Fritsche scored Columbus' fourth goal of the third period Wednesday to finish off the Blue Jackets' 5-4 come-from-behind win over Colorado.
Rick Nash scored twice and started the third-period comeback, helping Columbus win for the second time in three games.
Facing a 3-1 deficit going into the third, Nash scored 7:07 into the period by wrapping the puck around the post and jamming it past goaltender Peter Budaj.
Joakim Lindstrom tied it with a power-play tally, his first of the year, and Nikolai Zherdev put Columbus in front with 5:16 to play in regulation.
Scott Hannan briefly retied the game for Colorado with 4:35 left, but Fritsche scored on a wrister just 30 seconds later.
Paul Stastny and Scott Hannan both had a goal and an assist for Colorado, which lost in Columbus for the first time in 12 games. It was the fourth loss in five outings for the Avalanche.
