NBA: New York 100, New Jersey 93

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Jamal Crawford had 29 points and seven assists Wednesday, handing the New York Knicks a 100-93 win over the New Jersey Nets.

New York forged a 26-18 lead after the first period, and held its largest lead at 80-66 with 9:41 remaining.

Zach Randolph totaled 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals for New York. Fred Jones had 15 points, three rebounds and three assists, and David Lee added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Knicks, who recorded their first road victory this season.

They played without guard Stephon Marbury, whose father died during Sunday's game at Madison Square Garden.

New Jersey was led by Richard Jefferson's 31 points and four rebounds. Vince Carter added 19 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Bostjan Nachbar had 16 points and seven rebounds, while Malik Allen added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Nets, who had beaten Cleveland by 21 points Tuesday night.

They were without Jason Kidd (migraine) and Antoine Wright (shoulder).
