COL FB: Arizona State 20, Arizona 17

TEMPE, Ariz., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Rudy Carpenter went 20-for-37 passing for 247 yards and two TDs Saturday, as No. 13 Arizona State beat Arizona 20-17 to win the Territorial Championship Cup.

Chris McGaha caught six passes for 83 yards, Tyrice Thompson and Michael Jones each had two catches for 33 yards and a touchdown, and Dimitri Nance picked up 64 yards rushing for the Sun Devils (10-2, 7-2 Pac-10), who had their first10-win season since 1996.

Willie Tuitama went 28-for-52 passing for 272 yards and two touchdowns, but threw two interceptions for the Wildcats (5-7, 4-5), who came into the game with a three-game winning streak.

Mike Thomas caught nine passes for 98 yards and Rob Gronkowski had two catches and a touchdown.
