COL FB: Southern Cal 24, UCLA 7

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Joe McKnight rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown Saturday as ninth-ranked Southern California defeated UCLA 24-7 to win the Pac-10 title.

Chauncey Washington rushed for 66 yards and a TD and Stafon Johnson gained 73 yards for USC (10-2, 7-2 Pac-10), which also earned a spot in the Rose Bowl.

John David Booty passed for 206 yards and a touchdown while completing 21-of-36 as the Trojans won their sixth straight Pac-10 championship.

Patrick Cowan completed 13-of-24 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown for UCLA (6-6, 5-4), which suffered its fourth loss in its last five games.

Chris Markey led the Bruins' rushing with 49 yards on 17 attempts, but UCLA had only 12 net rushing yards.
